GGJ post update ( its a big one )


                 (Update Scheduled for 8PM PST) 2/2/2022
                this update was originally planned for last night, but I decided to add some more systems into the project before uploading.

Wow  GGJ was crazy, 10 days of so much active learning to get the project where it was.   unfortunately I was very pressed for time when it was the deadline and a untested build was uploaded that had multiple bugs including one that breaks the game at around 2 minutes.   

So here we are Update 1    and its a big one  : 

A very large amount of the objects in the game had not had their values assigned in the editor ( zzZZZzzz  at the keyboard )  this is fixed

Changed cloaking system to fit with color pallet    off purple   / dark orange   

Changed control inputs for the cloak/shield system to be two buttons instead of one toggled Q/E or L/R bumper

Changed how the player gets visual feedback for cloaking from changing the ships color to instead a animated ring around the ship that changes depending on the cloak/shield

Combat now works properly between   regular cloak/ orange cloak allowing players to enter swarms of bullets if they switch cloaking around on time

Updated the first boss encounter AI ( he was there in the first build,  game would break before reaching )

Lots of random colliders poking out where they should not be causing problems with movement are fixed

Dialogue changes to effect the pacing of the intro

Sound -   Shooting both enemy and player makes sound  and no longer causes a really bad audio glitch if a lot of bullets get fired while background music is playing

Sprites -  new bullet sprites,  new enemy classes and sprites   with a more distinct look between them 

Redesigned the opening level after tutorial ( still a place holder level, I want to migrate it to a different scene and spend a few weeks on it ) 

--implementing UI  for health and shield use ( cloak/shield tied to energy use,  don't get caught out in to big of a bullet swarm )

A lot of other small bug fixes and tweaks   but these were the bigger ones
